Key Features of XOMOX’s newest Sleeved Plug Valve- The L-TORQ
Article written by FCX Performance, Inc
Crane Company has been a shining example of engineering excellence since 1855; innovating industrial solutions is a value our companies share. In celebration of our parent company, Applied Industrial Technologies’ (parent company of FCX Performance) milestone 100-year anniversary, we are taking this opportunity to highlight each companies’ rich histories and the reliable partnership we share delivering products and know-how that create more powerful and efficient systems for commercial and light industrial applications.
Determined to find a more efficient way to run and repair Sleeved Plug Valves (SPV), Crane company has released the L-TORQ by XOMOX. The L-TORQ aims to reduce torque and repair-time in a compact package while taking a stand on fugitive Emissions.
Let’s explore the L-TORQ’s key features…
Compact Automated Sleeved Plug Valve Packages
More Than 50% Torque Reduction
The L-TORQ valve design incorporates innovative features that result in a significant torque reduction, particularly in certain sizes. The L-TORQ provides a 50% torque reduction compared to Cranes current sleeved plug valve. By achieving leak tightness at lower compression forces, the cartridge design offers controlled compression of sealing elements. Lower torque requirements make the valves easier to operate, enhance efficiency, and potentially reduce the size and cost of the actuation system.
Easy Repair Process with Replaceable Cartridge
L-TORQ valves feature a user-friendly repair process enabled by Crane's patent pending cartridge technology. This technology allows for easy maintenance without unique skills or tools. Instead of disassembling the entire valve, the cartridge technology allows for the replacement of specific components, such as the seat or seals.
Fugitive Emission Controls
The L-TORQ valve series is designed to meet stringent fugitive emission control standards. Specifically, it complies with the TA-Luft emission standards and the ISO 15848-1 BH CO3 SSA0 requirements, which relate to the control of fugitive emissions from valves. This technology aims to create future-proof control and ensures that the valves meet or exceed industry standards for preventing the leakage of harmful substances into the environment.
