Cast-Iron Internal Gear Pump- 124A Series™ and 4124A Series™
The 124A Series™ and 4124A Series™ are cast-iron internal gear pumps and happen to be one of Viking Pumps' most trusted products. Typically, this pump is used for vegetable oil, glue, polymers, molasses and more. They are designed to work with viscosities from -28 to 2,000,000 SSU and temperatures from -60℉ to 450℉. With a flow range of 500 GPM and pressures up to 200 PSI, the 124A Series™ is highly versatile and accommodating to customer’s needs.
There are multiple options for the pump’s driver, seal, and relief valve. The drive mounting options include direct, reducer, and V-belt drives. As for seals, the 124A Series™ can offer packing seals, whereas the 4124A Series™ can offer component, cartridge, and cartridge triple lip seals. This pump can also come with or without a relief valve.
Stainless Steel Gear Pump- 127A Series™ and 4127A Series™
Viking Pump’s 127A Series™ and 4127A Series™ pumps are internal gear pumps made of stainless steel, which allow these pumps to be corrosion resistant. This gives the 127A Series™ and 4127A Series™ a wide PH range and the ability to handle varying corrosive fluids. These pumps can manage a flow rate up to 320 GPM, temperatures of -120℉ to 500℉, viscosities ranging from –28 to 2,000,000 SSU, and pressure up to 150 PSI. The 127A Series™ and 4127A Series™ pumps are commonly used for soaps, cleaners, industrial chemicals, and other delicate fluids.
These pump solutions offer a right angle and opposite side porting, as well as seal options similar to the 124A Series™; the 127A Series™ offers packing seals, and the 4127A Series™ offers component, cartridge, and cartridge triple lip seals. The idle gear can also be customized. You have the option of a composite or non-galling stainless steel idler which can help customers that work with low viscosity and non-lubricating liquids.
Jacketed Gear Pump- 224A Series™ and 4224A Series™
224A Series™ and 4224A Series™ Universal Product Lines are jacketed internal gear pumps. This is nice for pumps that are heated with hot oil or steam. The jacketed pumps are an exceptional choice when you’re working with room temperature solids or liquids that, without heat, would be very viscous. For that reason, you’ll find these pumps are used for moving fluid-like wax, asphalt, and heavy fuel oils. You can also opt in to have a jacketed relief valve attached to the 224A Series™ and 4224A Series™. They can take on the same viscosity, temperature, flow range and pressure as the 124A Series™.
The 224A Series™ and 4224A Series™ pumps offer more options for porting. These pumps can have the right and opposite side porting as well as NPT and flanged porting. The seal options are the same as the 124A Series™ and 127A Series™ pumps; the 224A Series™ pump offers packing seals, and the 4224A Series™ offers component, cartridge, and cartridge triple lip seals. These pumps also have larger sizes available that can also come with a jacketed relief valve.
